Quantitative Analysis

This work package establishes the global evidence base at the heart of the project. Drawing on Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) data from UNICEF across 75+ low- and middle-income countries, we estimate how orphanhood and lack of parental care affect children's outcomes across health, education, and development — and explore why those effects vary across contexts. We also develop predictive models to identify which children are most at risk and where protective factors emerge, laying the groundwork for targeted policy and programmatic action.
